DAY 1

You will visit Coyoacan, a bohemian neighbourhood of Mexico City; you will enter the Frida Kahlo museum, wander around the parks and markets of the community and delight with all sorts of street food and snacks. By night, you will experience a Mexican canteen vibe with welcoming drinks.

DAY 2

You will visit the biggest Mexican archaeology museum, comprised of six wards exhibiting the most prominent Mexican cultures in ancient and modern times. Once you have explored the museum, you will stroll along one of the longest and most beautiful avenues in Mexico City.

DAY 3

You will visit the Chapultepec area starting with its castle and museum, the only castle in America; then, you can enjoy the open air with a paddle boat ride on the lake.  Afterwards, you will walk through a lovely park area and neighbourhood in the city to reach two iconic monuments, the Revolution monument and the Angel of Independence.

DAY 4

You will spend the day in Mexico City centre, visiting historical and beautiful places like the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, the Post Office building, the Palace of Fine Arts and Alameda Park. You will enter the Templo Mayor museum, an ancient Aztec ruin in the city.

DAY 5

You will visit Teotihuacán, the ancient city of the gods with the second biggest pyramid in the world. On the way back, you will continue your travel to the past exploring the Three Cultures Square, and you will finish with a visit to Garibaldi Square to experience traditional Mariachi music.

DAY 6

For this day, you will visit the National Park Iztazihuatl-Popo and spend the day hiking around one of the highest volcanoes in the country, reaching 3500 masl. You will have lunch in the park, descend the volcano, and return to the city.

DAY 7

You will visit an axolotl reproduction centre in to learn about this endemic amphibian and try some traditional Mexican food. Finally, you will ride a trajinera boat on the Xochimilco channels to see a unique compound of artificial islands built on the lake for growing crops and flowers.
